PREOPERATIVE PROCEDURES
1 – ANAMNESIS (CONSULTATION)
The first step is to make an appointment for an oral examination where you will be offered treatment alternatives and the best solution for your individual needs and expectations.
2 – DIAGNOSIS
Imaging tests such as CT scans and X-rays are usually necessary to determine implant sizes and positions in full-arch rehabilitation.
3 – WAX-UP (MOCK-UP)
The photos and models are used to plan the ideal configuration of the teeth to be replaced for aesthetics, function and speech. This will make the final result totally predictable.
Once this period of pre-operative procedures is complete, we schedule your surgery to install the implants and your initial set of teeth.
SURGICAL AND PROSTHETIC PROCEDURES
4 – IMPLANTS
After extracting the teeth (if any), the jawbones are regularized and the implants placed in the same session. The surgeries are closed with resorbable sutures and impressions of the implants are taken for the next stage.
5 – TEETH TEST
The teeth are fixed in wax and tried in the mouth within 4 to 24 hours after surgery. Any necessary adjustments are made as required and to your preference. You can see how your teeth will look before we finish.
6 – PLACEMENT
Your replacement teeth are inserted the day after your approval. The teeth are always premium (imported) and constructed from high-impact acrylic for optimum aesthetics, perfect function, comfort and ease of cleaning.
POST-SURGICAL FOLLOW-UP
In the weeks and months that follow, we will monitor your case with periodic occlusal adjustments so that the implants don’t have any complications.
At around six months, your gums should be fully healed and your implants should be fully osseointegrated into your bone. At this point, we take a few more impressions of your mouth to prepare a final set of permanent teeth.
This permanent prosthesis will be made with porcelain or acrylic teeth, and will have a titanium bar inside to give it additional strength. This permanent prosthesis will last for decades and will look just like your natural teeth and gums.
